Access Bank's W Initiative has teamed up with the Project Management Institute (PMI) to help more Nigerian women earn internationally recognised project management certifications. Under the partnership, eligible women get discounts on exam fees and on training courses.
Women can get 25% off the exam fees for two PMI certifications. These are the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and the Project Management Professional (PMP). They can also get up to 50% off exam preparation courses from participating PMI Authorised Training Partners. The course discount runs until December 2026. No end date has been given for the exam fee discount.
Reports say eligible women are existing Access Bank customers or women opening new accounts. They need an active Access Bank account and a W Debit Card. They must also meet PMI's own requirements for the certification they choose. Women who want the discount will go through a registration and verification process.
The partnership was announced by Access Bank and PMI. PMI Sub-Saharan Africa's Managing Director, George Asamani, and Access Bank's Head of Women Banking Team, Nene Kunle-Ogunlusi, spoke on the partnership.
