Amstel Malta has awarded business grants and beauty gift sets to women in Abia State as part of the annual August Meeting celebrations at the New Government House in Umuahia on Friday, August 28.

The August Meeting is a cherished South-Eastern tradition where women return to their home communities to reconnect, discuss communal development, and celebrate their cultural heritage. Leveraging this historic gathering, Amstel Malta honored local women by providing financial grants to five female entrepreneurs to boost their small businesses and foster economic independence.

The event hosted prominent leaders, including Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, First Lady Mrs. Priscilla Otti, and the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr. Maureen Aghukwa, who also presented business grants to recipients during the event.

Continuing its collaboration from last year, Amstel Malta teamed up with Zaron Cosmetics to distribute curated beauty care packages to attendees.
