The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is accepting applications for its 2026 Young Professionals Programme (YPP). This competitive initiative targets qualified young professionals focusing on nationals from non- or underrepresented member countries, Small Island Developing States (SIDS), Least Developed Countries (LDCs), and Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) to launch a career as an international civil servant.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 32 years or younger as of December 31 of the application year.
- Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent) relevant to FAO’s mission.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience.
- Languages: Working knowledge of English plus a limited knowledge of another official FAO language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian).
- Restrictions: Applicants must not be a child or sibling of an active FAO staff member.
