Aptech Nigeria has awarded over N701 million in scholarships to more than 200 young Nigerians, taking direct steps to bridge the nation’s digital skills gap as local and global demand for specialized tech talent surges. Announced following the 18th edition of the Aptech Career Quest, an annual nationwide initiative run in partnership with Middlesex University London, the event drew over 8,000 participants across major Nigerian cities; including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Ibadan, and Abeokuta, as well as through virtual sessions that expanded access across the country.
Throughout the program, participants explored high-demand sectors such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, software engineering, UI/UX design, and 3D animation. Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President of International Business at Aptech Limited, noted that the strong turnout highlights a rising ambition among Nigerian youth to build globally competitive tech careers, reinforcing Aptech’s ongoing commitment to delivering practical, market-aligned training.

Beyond hands-on skill development, Aptech’s partnership with Middlesex University provides an international academic pathway via a Credit Transfer Facility. This enables graduates of programs like the Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering (AI) or Multimedia & Animation to transfer credits directly toward recognized UK undergraduate degrees in fields like computer networks, IT, and gaming. Operating in Nigeria for 26 years across 72 learning centers, Aptech continues to offer entry points for every level, ranging from foundational tech courses for teenagers to advanced professional diplomas designed to propel learners directly into the global digital economy.
