Young Nigerians with technology, business, and creative ideas can apply for the Blaze by Ecobank InnovateX 2026, a nationwide youth innovation challenge offering a total of ₦20 million in prizes. The challenge helps young people develop ideas into practical solutions through mentorship, bootcamps, pitching, and exposure to industry professionals. The 2026 edition is open to tertiary students nationwide and focuses on two broad areas: Inclusive Finance and the Creative Economy.
Key Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the challenge, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Age: Be between 16 and 25 years old.
- Status: Be a tertiary student, innovator, entrepreneur, or creative in Nigeria.
- Team Structure: Register as a team, choosing either the Inclusive Finance or Creative Economy track based on the project.
Programme Structure
- Teams complete the InnovateX registration process and submit their project information.
- Submitted ideas go through screening before selected teams progress to the next stage.
- Shortlisted teams pitch during regional activations or present virtually, with three regional locations for 2026.
- The programme culminates in a grand finale pitch competition, set for October 30, 2026, where finalists present before a panel of industry leaders and investors.
