The Oyo State Government has announced the commencement of online registration for its annual Bursary Award. Managed by the Oyo State Scholarship Board, the scheme provides financial aid to eligible final-year students to ease academic expenses and support successful graduation.
The bursary covers final-year students in public universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, clinical programs, and specialized maritime or aviation institutes across the country.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- State Indigeneship: Applicants must be verifiable indigenes of Oyo State.
- Academic Level: Must be a final-year student (Undergraduate, HND, NCE, Clinical, Aviation, or Maritime programs). Note: Final-year law students are excluded from this general bursary.
- Institution Type: Must be enrolled in a public tertiary institution in Nigeria (students in private institutions or overseas universities are not eligible).
- Mode of Study: Must be registered as a full-time student (part-time students are ineligible).

What You Need to Submit
- Official Admission Letter from your institution.
- Local Government Identification Letter from your local government area in Oyo State.
- Current Student Registration/Course Form, duly signed and stamped by your Head of Department (HOD).
- Proof of membership/registration with the Federation of Oyo State Students' Union (FOSSU).
- Recent passport photograph.
- Active commercial bank account details bearing the applicant’s name.
