In a major boost to youth empowerment and Nigeria's digital economy, 1,000 young people across Lagos State have successfully completed an intensive 30-day ICT bootcamp hosted by Centergate Technologies. Under the banner “Raising the Next 1,000 Tech Future Leaders,” the ambitious initiative began on July 27 and culminated in a grand finale on August 27, 2026, at Ogudu Senior Secondary School in Ogudu, Lagos. Over the course of the month, participants received practical, hands-on training in critical, high-demand fields, including cybersecurity, data analytics, software engineering, robotics, and graphics and animation.
The highlight of the closing ceremony came when Centergate Technologies CEO Sanni Michael announced substantial scholarship awards to support top talent. Twenty-three outstanding graduates received full one-year IT scholarships worth N2 million each to pursue advanced specialization in software engineering and IT, while another 15 students received full six-month free training packages. Beneficiaries included local youth from Kosofe Local Government Area alongside students from various secondary schools, including Command Secondary School, Ikeja, Immaculate High School, Maryland, Ogudu Secondary School, Alapeere High School, Ketu, and Community High School, Ketu. Company leadership emphasized that equipping young Nigerians with globally competitive tech skill sets is essential for building a resilient, tech-driven future for the nation.
