The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) is an international financial institution owned by the fifteen ECOWAS Member States: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. Its mission is to work towards an economically strong, industrialized, prosperous West Africa fully integrated within the region and world economy. Within the framework of its Young Professionals Programme, EBID seeks to recruit young graduates from universities and other tertiary institutions in the West African sub-region and the diaspora. Selected candidates will initially receive a two-year fixed-term contract with a six-month probationary period. Where performance during probation is satisfactory, the appointment converts to an open-ended contract, making the candidate a permanent EBID staff member. Trainees rotate through different Bank departments and work under senior staff to gain exposure to EBID's activities, policies, and programmes.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Be a citizen of an ECOWAS Member State.
- Age: Be under 30 years old at the time of recruitment.
- Education: Hold a Master's degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the Bank's activities.
- Skills: Have strong analytical, organizational, and research skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
- Technical Ability: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Language: Be fluent in English, French, or Portuguese, with working knowledge of one of the other two languages.

Compensation
Young Professionals are treated as professional staff of EBID and receive conditions corresponding to Grade P1-1 on the Bank's staff classification and salary scale.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates are invited for written and oral tests at the Bank's headquarters in Lomé.
