First City Monument Bank has been recognized by the Lagos Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association for its notable contributions to technology governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and digital trust in Nigeria. The bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Yemisi Edun, accepted a commemorative plaque on behalf of the institution during ISACA Lagos Chapter’s 30th anniversary celebration in Lagos.
Accepting the award, Edun emphasized that strong governance, cybersecurity, and risk management remain vital to customer protection, institutional resilience, and sustainable economic growth as financial services become increasingly digitalized. She praised FCMB's ongoing strategic partnership with ISACA in setting high professional standards and fostering knowledge sharing across Nigeria's evolving technology sector.

ISACA Global CEO Erik Prusch highlighted the technical expertise and resilience of Nigerian IT professionals, noting that skilled personnel are essential for navigating emerging risks and driving tech-led innovation. Meanwhile, ISACA Lagos Chapter President Justus Osuji reflected on the chapter's three decades of advancing information systems auditing, compliance, and governance both locally and internationally.
