Applications are officially open for the Africa No Filter Voices for Climate Justice initiative 2026. Delivered in partnership with Comic Relief, this 12-month program is calling on African storytellers to produce impactful narratives exploring the connections between climate change, debt, gender, and fossil fuels across the continent. Selected storytellers will receive specialized training, mentorship, platform amplification, and grants of up to $4,000 to support their projects.

Eligibility Criteria
- Who Can Apply: Individual journalists, content creators, podcasters, vloggers, muralists, and data visualizers aged 18 and older. (Applications are open to individuals only; no organizations or agencies).
- Target Countries: Applicants must reside in Angola, Chad, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zambia.
- Audience Reach: Must operate an active platform established for over a year. Content creators and data visualizers need a combined social media following of at least 5,000 (across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, or Snapchat). Journalists can demonstrate reach through publication circulation.
- Representation: Content creators must be unsigned by agents. Affiliated journalists are eligible provided they retain ownership rights to their submitted work.

- Prepare Your Pitch: Create a pitch deck (5 slides maximum) or a 60-second video outlining your storytelling concept connecting gender, debt, and fossil fuels in Africa.
- Submit Online: Fill out the form on the official application portal with links to your active platforms and a short summary of your target audience.
