WWF Zimbabwe, in partnership with Amano, has opened applications for the 2026 WWF-Amano Fellows Program. This nine-month mentorship initiative aims to nurture the next generation of conservation leaders from Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs).
Through expert-led workshops, peer-to-peer discussions, and tailored mentorship, the program equips participants with key leadership skills to drive inclusive, community-centered conservation and sustainable development.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 21 to 30 years old.
- Nationality: Zimbabwean citizens or residents.
- Experience: Demonstrated leadership track record with proven impact in their community or region.
- Focus Area: A strong commitment to inclusive conservation, preferably with strong ties to or working experience in Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities.
- Technical & Time Requirements: Must have access to a reliable internet connection and a mobile phone or laptop, possess strong English fluency, and be able to dedicate 5 to 8 hours per month to program activities.
Note: Participation in this fellowship is non-salaried and offers no direct financial benefits.
