Zoho Corporation has partnered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to launch a landmark ₦20 billion digital support initiative designed to empower 25,000 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country. Announced on Wednesday, August 27, 2026, the strategic collaboration provides eligible businesses within the SMEDAN network with Zoho wallet credits, granting them full access to over 60 cloud-based software tools including key management platforms such as Zoho Books for financial accounting, Bigin for customer relationship tracking, and Zoho Workplace for seamless team communication and collaboration.
Beyond offering direct software credits, the programme takes a comprehensive approach to technology adoption by providing hands-on training, interactive workshops, dedicated technical assistance, and one-on-one business consultations to ensure small enterprises successfully integrate these digital solutions into their daily operations. According to SMEDAN Director-General Charles Odii, strengthening digital capabilities is vital for small businesses seeking to formalize their operations and compete in broader national and international markets. This initiative aligns directly with SMEDAN’s GROW Nigerian strategy and complements an ongoing joint project with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) aimed at registering 250,000 businesses for free. Supporting this vision, Kehinde Ogundare, Country Head of Zoho Nigeria, emphasized that access to software alone is insufficient without the operational skills and continuous support required to eliminate financial and technical barriers. By combining software credits with continuous guidance, the initiative seeks to lower operating costs, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable digital transformation for MSMEs across Nigeria.
